NeighbourCar Scheme

The scheme provides transport to health related appointments at the hospital, doctor's surgery or dentist.  

Cost

The average cost is 60p per mile.  Patients must register and some schemes charge an annual membership fee.

Criteria

The patient must be able to get in and out of the car without assistance from the driver but can be accompanied by a relative or carer if assistance is required. Patients must live within five miles of Dorchester and must complete a pro-forma.
